XLThreads is a passion project for Shivangi Joshi, who recognized a gap in finding stylish and
chic clothing when shopping for herself. Being a plus size woman herself, she was disappointed
from not having enough choices and not being able to style clothing that was in trend.
In spite of being accomplished in the insurance industry for 20 years, Shivangi wished for more.
A friend of more than 15 years, A.J. Joseph nudged her to find her passion and encouraged to
create clothes that would make plus size individuals confident in what they wear. With that, XL
Threads proudly came into being.

personal style even if they are diversely sized. The vision is to focus on the want and not just
need when creating clothes so it not only provides wearable fits but delves into the current
trends, thus not treating the plus sizes as outcasts.
